Installing the appliance

For your safety

This appliance must be installed and serviced by a competent person as stated in the Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations Current Editions and the IEE Wiring Regulations. For appliances installed in the Republic of Ireland please refer to NSAI - Domestic Gas Installation IS813 Current Editions.

It is important that the appliance is suitable for your gas supply. Your installer should check the rating plate.

Location

For your safety

The use of a gas cooking appliance results in the production of heat and moisture in the room in which it is installed. Ensure that the kitchen is well ventilated: keep natural ventilation holes open or install a mechanical ventilation device (mechanical extractor hood).

Prolonged intensive use of the appliance may call for additional ventilation, for example opening of a window, or more effective ventilation, for example increasing the level of mechanical ventilation where present.
