Quick Guide (1) Listening to the Demo

The ST-224 comes with a demo song already built in. Listen to this to hear for yourself what the ST-224 can

do.

• Connect the ST-224 to the playback equipment ( p. 8).

• Turn power on in the order ST- 224 playback equipment, and adjust the volume (p. 9).

While holding down the [SPECIAL] key, press the [PLAYLIST] key.

The demo song starts. Playback of the song loops endlessly.

Previously sampled material will be NOTE erased. Store the contents in the backup

memory if desired ( p. 59).

To stop the demo song, press the [EXIT] or [SONG PLAY/STOP] key.

The ST- 224 reverts to the normal condition. The contents last stored in the backup memory will be restored.

*While the song is playing, other controls except the [EXIT] or [SONG PLAY/STOP] key have no effect.

LOOP/MARK

The [SOURCE] pad on the front panel is a NOTE special pad that allows using an external

input signal as sound source. It is not used for playing internal samples.
