Onboard FDC Controller
Enabled Enables the onboard floppy disk controller.
Disabled Disables the onboard floppy disk controller.
Onboard Serial Port 1 and Onboard Serial Port 2
Auto The system will automatically select an I/O address for the onboard serial port 1 and serial port 2.
3F8/IRQ4, 2F8/IRQ3, 3E8/IRQ4, 2E8/IRQ3 Allows you to manually select an I/O address for the onboard serial port 1 and serial port 2.
Disabled Disables the onboard serial port 1 and/or serial port 2.
UART2 Mode Select
The system board supports IrDA function for wireless connectivity between your computer and peripheral devices.You may not use IrDA (J12) and the COM 2 serial port (J8) at the same time. If you are using the COM 2 serial port, make sure “UART2 Mode Select” is set to Normal.
To use the IrDA function, follow the steps below.
1.Connect your IrDA cable to connector J12 on the system board.
2.Set “UART2 Mode Select” to the type of IrDA standard supported by your IrDA peripheral/device (IrDA 1.0 or ASKIR). For better transmission of data, your IrDA peripheral device must be within a 30o angle and within a distance of 1 meter.
3.The following will appear right after “UART2 Mode Select”.
IR Transmission Delay
If this option is Enabled, transmission of data will be slower.This is recommended when you encounter transmission problem with your device. The options are: Enabled and Disabled.
Onboard Parallel Port
378H/IRQ7, 3BCH/IRQ7, 278H/IRQ5 Selects the I/O address and IRQ for the onboard parallel port.
Disabled Disables the onboard parallel port.
