2.2Handling Precautions

Before turning the power on, ensure that the carriage lock is in the

unlocked position: . Likewise, turn the carriage lock on the

scanner to the locked position: , to avoid damaging the internal optical assembly during transportation.

Remarks

Keep the unit horizontal, with the document cover facing upward, and ensure that it is placed on a flat and stable surface for use. Failure may result if the unit is not used in a flat and level horizontal position.
