Replacing the internal speaker

Attention

This section provides instructions on how to replace the internal speaker.

To replace the internal speaker:

1.Remove all media from the drives and turn off all attached devices and the computer. Then, disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the computer.

2.Remove the computer cover. See “Removing the computer cover” on page 16.

3.Locate the internal speaker connector on the system board. See “Locating parts on the system board” on page 12.

4.Disconnect the internal speaker cable from the system board.

5.Push the metal tab on the top of the internal speaker outward and slide the internal speaker upward to completely remove it from the chassis.
