CHARACTER GENERATOR

With this printer you can create new characters and symbols, download their dot data, and have them printed in place of selected characters in the

regular character set. Characters that can be generated in this way range from simple but useful symbols like the check mark through complex Chinese or Japanese characters.

The process of designing new characters with paper and pencil is time consuming. The program listed in this appendix enables you to do everything on the computer screen. It also enables you to maintain disk files of character

data for downloading when required.

The creation of a telephone symbol as a normal character ( S ) and

super/subscript character ( t ) is explained below.
