Before working on a chassis or working near power supplies, unplug the power cord on AC units.

To remove the cover, follow these steps:

 

 

Step 1

Review the information in the “Safety Guidelines” section on page 5.

Step 2

Power down the device and all attached devices. Disconnect the power cord and all external cables.

Step 3

Press the cover release button (labeled 1 in Figure 7).

Step 4 While holding the cover release button down with your thumb, lift the opposite front corner of chassis slightly with your other hand, and using your free thumb, slide the cover back approximately 0.5 inches (1.27 cm); then lift it up and off the device.
