Configuring Failover Priority for Access Points

Step 9 Click Apply to commit your changes.

Step 10 Click Save Configuration to save your changes.

Using the CLI to Configure Failover Priority for Access Points

Using the controller CLI, follow these steps to configure failover priority for access points that join the controller.

Step 1 To enable or disable access point failover priority, enter this command: config network ap-priority{enable disable}

Step 2 To specify the priority of an access point, enter this command: config ap priority {1 2 3 4} Cisco_AP

where 1 is the lowest priority level and 4 is the highest priority level. The default value is 1. Step 3 To save your changes, enter this command:

save config

Using the CLI to View Failover Priority Settings

Use these commands to view the failover priority configuration settings on your network:

To confirm whether access point failover priority is enabled on your network, enter this command: show network summary
