Configuring the Modbus Plus Node Address

Address

The TSXCUSBMBP communications adapter must be assigned a Modbus Plus

Assignment

Node Address in order to communicate on the Modbus Plus network.

 

The Modbus Plus Node Address assignment window is displayed:

Address Configuration

To configure the Modbus Plus Node Address of the TSXCUSBMBP device:

Step Action

1Select Settings from the top level menu of the TSXCUSBMBP Driver Interface Window

2Type the new address into the field labeled Modbus+ Node Address

3Click on the Save button to save the new address.

Changing

Process

After the Save button is pressed, the process of changing the Modbus+ Node address of the TSXCUSBMBP device will begin.

To complete this process, the TSXCUSBMBP device must be reinitialized.

zAn information window will pop up, designating that the node address is being changed, and it will take approximately 10 seconds to complete the process.

zClick on OK to exit the information window.

The Settings Menu will remain disabled until the process of changing the node address is complete.

After the process has completed, the Modbus Plus cable can be connected to the TSXCUSBMBP device without risk of a duplicate Modbus+ node address on the network.
