Configuring the Preinstalled

Solaris 10 Operating System

This chapter describes how to configure the Solaris™ 10 operating system (OS) that might be preinstalled on your Sun Fire X4150 server. Solaris 10 11/06 is the minimum supported version.

This chapter assumes that your server has a hard drive installed, with the Solaris operating system preinstalled. Your system might be different, depending on your hard drive configuration.

Delivery Methods

To deliver preinstalled Solaris, you can select a delivery option in the GRUB menu that allows you to choose a delivery method:

■Deliver Solaris preinstall through the serial management port (default method) or
