5.Refer to figure below. From the Setup menu, verify that Auto Baud Search is checked.

6.Refer to figure below. While the Viewport is displayed, select Setup Communications (alternatively, depress Alt+D) to open the Port Settings dialog box.

7.Select the appropriate connection type. Verify that an available COM port (COM 1 is shown on the next page) is selected. Set the baud rate to 38400, the parity to None, the data bits to Eight, and the stop bits to One. Refer to the dialog box shown on the next page for the remaining settings and click the OK button as shown to save the settings and close the box.
