Controlling the AV Receiver

To control the AV receiver, press the [RECEIVER] button to select Receiver mode.

You can also use the remote controller to control your DVD player, CD player, and other components.

See page 91 for more details.

eLISTENING MODE buttons (62)

Used to select the listening modes.

fDIMMER button (52)

Adjusts the display brightness.

gDISPLAY button (52)

Displays information about the current input source.

Mutes or unmutes the AV receiver.

To control the AV receiver’s tuner, press the [TUNER] (or [RECEIVER]) button.

You can select AM or FM by pressing the [TUNER] but- ton repeatedly.

1Arrow [q]/[w] buttons

Used to tune into radio stations.

2D.TUN button (54)

Selects the Direct tuning mode.

3DISPLAY button

For detailed information, see the pages in parentheses.

aON/STANDBY button (38)

Sets the AV receiver to On or Standby.

bREMOTE MODE/INPUT SELECTOR buttons (51, 93–99)

Selects the remote controller modes and the input sources.

cArrow [q]/[w]/[e]/[r] and ENTER buttons

Used to select and adjust settings.

dSETUP button

Used to change settings.

Displays information about the band, frequency, preset number, and so on.

4CH +/– button (55)

Used to select radio presets.

5Number buttons (54)

Used to select radio stations directly in the Direct tuning mode. Also you can select a preset directly.

Note:

An Onkyo cassette recorder connected via ucan also be controlled in Receiver mode (see page 99).
