Onkyo DR-C500 Press Distance, Press 5/ ∞ to select the front left, Right speaker distance

Before starting the procedure below, measure the distances from each speaker to the listening position. For pair speakers such as front left and right speakers, the distance from the listening position to one speaker should be the same as the distance to the other.

1	Press DISTANCE.
Remote controller	The distance entry display for the front left
only	and right speakers appears.

2	Press 5/∞ to select the front left
	and right speaker distance.

You can select a distance between 1 ft. and 30 ft. (0.3 m and 9 m).

Note

•Press and hold the DISTANCE button to switch between feet and meters. The initial setting is feet.

3	Press DISTANCE, then press
DISTANCE	5/∞ repeatedly to select the center
	speaker distance.

You cannot enter the following distances:

• Distances longer than the distance set for the front speakers.

• Distances shorter than the distance obtained by subtracting “5 ft. (1.5 m)” from the distance entered for the front speakers.

Note

•If you selected a speaker configuration with no center speaker on the previous page, this step will be skipped.

4	Press DISTANCE, then press
	5/∞ repeatedly to select the
DISTANCE	surround left and right speaker
	distance.

You cannot enter the following distances:

•Distances longer than the distance set

for the front speakers.

•Distances shorter than the distance obtained by subtracting “15 ft. (4.5 m)” from the distance entered for the front speakers.

Note

•If you selected a speaker configuration with no surround speakers on the previous page, this step will be skipped.

5	Press DISTANCE.
	The normal display resumes.
