Customizing the Settings

Language Setting

Audio Language

This sets the language to be used when playing a disc. If a disc does not contain the selected language, it is played in the priority language set for each disc.

English: To play sound tracks in English.

Spanish: To play sound tracks in Spanish.

French: To play sound tracks in French.

German: To play sound tracks in German.

Italian: To play sound tracks in Italian.

Others: To make a further choice, follow steps 1 - 3 below.

1Select “Other” and press ENTER.

2Press the number buttons to enter the 4-digit code listed on the next page.

3Select OK button and press ENTER.

Note

Depending on the disc, a language recorded on the disc may be given priority and selected automatically when the disc is loaded regardless of the setting.

Subtitle Language

This sets the language to be used when playing a disc. If a disc does not contain the selected language, it is played in the priority language set for each disc.

English: To display subtitles in English.

Spanish: To display subtitles in Spanish.

French: To display subtitles in French.

German: To display subtitles in German.

Italian: To display subtitles in Italian.

Others: To make a further choice, follow steps 1 - 3 below.

3Select OK button and press ENTER.

Notes

Some DVD-Video may be set to display subtitles in a different language than you selected. A prior subtitle language may be programmed on the disc.

Some DVD-Video allow you to change subtitle selections only via the disc menu. If this is the case, press TOP MENU or MENU and choose the appropriate subtitle language from the selection on the disc menu.

Instruction notes of discs may refer to the button that displays the top menu as title button.

Menu Language

This sets the initial setup of language as well as the language used in on-screen messages such as “PLAY”.

English: To display disc menus in English.

Spanish: To display disc menus in Spanish.

French: To display disc menus in French.

German: To display disc menus in German.

Italian: To display disc menus in Italian.

Note

Some DVD-Video may not include your pre-selected language. In this case, the DVD Changer Receiver automatically displays disc menus consistent with the disc’s initial language setting.
