INITIAL SETTINGS

STORING NUMBERS UNDER GROUP KEYS

Group keys allow you to dial a group of fax numbers by simply pressing the appropriate Group key once. They are convenient for the Broadcasting function, which is used to transmit an original to a group of fax machines.

All Rapid keys can be programmed as Group keys. To program or clear a group key, follow the steps below. Note that one key cannot be programmed as both a Rapid key and a Group key at the same time.

Up to 100 fax numbers can be stored in one Group key.

Rapid Keys, Speed Dial numbers, and numbers directly entered with the numeric keys can be stored in Group Keys.

Storing/adding numbers in a Group Key:

Press the [MENU] key.

Press the Rapid key you wish to use

 

 

 

 

as a Group key.

To add numbers:

After pressing the Group Key, press the [] key () or [] key () to select "1:YES" and then press the [OK] key.

2 Press the [] key ( ) or [] key ( ) until "2:ENTRY MODE" appears, and then press the [OK] key.

3 Press the [] key ( ) or [] key ( ) until "1:FAX NUMBER" appears, and then press the [OK] key.

4 Press the [] key ( ) or [] key ( ) until "3:GROUP KEY" appears, and then press the [OK] key.

5 Press the [] key ( ) or [] key ( ) to select "1:SET" and then press the [OK] key.

7 Enter the numbers that you wish to store in the Group Key.

Enter the fax numbers using any of the following methods:

Press a Rapid Key and then press the [OK] key.

Enter a Speed Dial number with the numeric keys and then press the [OK] key.

Enter a number with the numeric keys and then press the [OK] key.

One Group Key cannot be stored in

another Group Key.

A message will appear if you select a Rapid Key or Speed Dial number that is already stored in another Group Key.
