Using the Monitor Panel

You can use the LCD screen and the buttons beneath it to:

AMonitor UPS operation

ALook at a log of UPS events (alarms, notices, and commands)

5.2Using the Buttons

The buttons below the LCD screen are labeled with arrows indicating their functions:

APress the and buttons to move through the options in a menu, or to scroll through the list of alarms and notices in the event log.

APress the and buttons to move through the menu titles on the menu bar. Press them simultaneously to silence the horn, or to test the lamps behind the status indicators.

APress the button to toggle the use of the and buttons between the menu box and the information area.

5.3Adjusting the Contrast

Use the buttons to adjust the contrast on the LCD screen. Hold down the button, then press the button to increase the contrast or the button to decrease the contrast.

5.4 Using the Load Off Button

The LOAD OFF button is red and covered by a clear plastic shield. In an emergency, you can press this button to cut off utility power to the power processing unit of the UPS and to the critical load. For more information, see Chapter 11,

C A U T I O N

All power to the critical load is lost when you press the LOAD OFF button. You should use the LOAD OFF button only when you want to de-energize the critical load.
