These settings allow the user to set the parameters of the slots indicated above. Press <Enter> to activate the following submenu screen for detailed options of these items. Set the correct configurations accordingly. The items included in the submenu are:

Type

This option allows the user to select the type of IDE hard drive. The option Auto allows the BIOS to automatically configure the parameters of the HDD installed at the connection. Enter a number between 1 to 39 to select a predetermined HDD type. Select User to allow the user to enter the parameters of the HDD installed. Select CDROM if a CDROM drive is installed. Select ATAPI if a removable disk drive is installed.

Multi-Sector Transfers

This item allows the user to specify the number of sectors per block to be used in multi-sector transfer. The options are Disabled, 4 Sectors, 8 Sectors, and 16 Sectors.

LBA Mode Control

This item determines whether the Phoenix BIOS will access the IDE Channel 0 Master Device via the LBA mode. The options are Enabled and Disabled.
