Chapter 4: BIOS

Base I/O Address

This setting allows you to select the base I/O address for Serial Port A. The options are 3F8, 2F8, 3E8, and 2E8.

Interrupt

This setting allows you to select the IRQ (interrupt request) for Serial Port A. The options are IRQ3 and IRQ4.

Serial Port B

This setting allows you to decide how Serial Port B is controlled.The options are Enabled (user defined), Disabled, Auto (BIOS controlled) and OS Controlled.

Mode

This setting allows you to set the type of devices to be connected to Serial Port B. The options are Normal and IR (for an infrared device) and ASK-IR.

Base I/O Address

This setting allows you to select the base I/O address for Serial Port B. The options are 3F8, 2F8, 3E8 and 2E8.

Interrupt

This setting allows you to select the IRQ (interrupt request) for Serial Port B. The options are IRQ3 and IRQ4.

Floppy Disk Controller

This setting allows you to decide how Floppy Disk Controller is controlled.The options are Enabled (user defined), Disabled, and Auto (BIOS- and OS- controlled).

Base I/O Address

This setting allows you to select the base I/O address for the Floppy disk drive. The options are Primary and Secondary.

DMI Event Logging

Access the submenu to make changes to the following settings.

Event Log Validity

This is a display to inform you of the event log validity. It is not a setting.

Event Log Capacity

This is a display to inform you of the event log capacity. It is not a setting.
