DMA Mode

Select Auto to allow the BIOS to automatically detect IDE DMA mode when the IDE disk drive support cannot be determined. The options are Auto, SWDMAn, MWDMAn, and UDMAn. See the table below for DMA Mode Select Options.

S.M.A.R.T. For Hard disk drives

Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology (SMART) can help predict impending drive failures. Select Auto to allow the AMI BIOS to automatically de- tect hard disk drive support. Select Disabled to prevent the AMI BIOS from using the S.M.A.R.T. Select Enabled to allow the AMI BIOS to use the S.M.A.R.T. to support hard drive disk. The options are Disabled, Enabled, and Auto.

32Bit Data Transfer

Select Enable to enable 32-bit IDE data transfer support. The options are En- abled and Disabled.

IDE Detect Timeout (sec)

Use this feature to set the timeout value for the BIOS to detect the ATA, ATAPI devices installed in the system. The options are 0 (sec), 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35.

PCI/PnP Configuration

Clear NVRAM

This feature clears the NVRAM during system boot. The options are No and Yes.
