IDE Channel 0 Master/Slave and Secondary IDE Master/ Slave

These settings allow the user to set the parameters of IDE Channel 0 Master/Slave and Secondary IDE Master/Slave slots. Press <Enter> to activate the following submenu screen for detailed options of these items. Set the correct conﬁ gurations accordingly.

The following items will be displayed in the submenu:

Type

Selects the type of IDE hard drive. The option Auto will allow the BIOS to auto- matically conﬁ gure the parameters of the HDD installed at the connection. Enter a number between 1 to 39 to select a predetermined HDD type. Select User to allow the user to enter the parameters of the HDD installed. Select CDROM if a CDROM drive is installed. Select ATAPI if a removable disk drive is installed.

CHS Format

The following items will be displayed by the BIOS:

Type: This item displays the type of IDE or SATA device.

Cylinders: This item indicates the status of cylinders.
