S/PDIF_Out Connector

An S/PDIF_Out connector is located next to the Backpanel USB ports on the moth- erboard. The S/PDIF(Sony/Philips Digital Interface Format) connector is used for transporting stereo digital audio signals. It is commonly used to connect the output of a DVD player to a home theater receiver that supports Dolby Digital or DTS surround sound. The S/PDIF_Out connector includes the top component (S/PDIF_RCA) and the bottom component (S/PDIF). See the tables below for pin definitions.
