Use the arrow keys to select Boot Setup and hit <Enter> to access the submenu items:

XBIOS Features

QuickBoot

If Enabled, this option will skip certain tests during POST to reduce the time needed for system boot. The options are Enabled and Disabled.

QuietBoot

This option allows the bootup screen options to be modified between POST mes- sages or the OEM logo. Select Disabled to allow the computer system to display the POST messages. Select Enabled to allow the computer system to display the OEM logo.

Wait for ‘F1’ If Error

Select Enable to allow the system to wait for the user to press F1 when an error occurs. The options are Enabled and Disabled.

High Performance Event Timer

Select Enabled to activate the High Performance Event Timer (HPET) that produce periodic interrupts at a much higher frequency than a Real-time Clock (RTC) can in synchronizing multimedia streams, providing smooth playback and reducing the dependency on other timestamp calculation devices, such as an x86 RDTSC In- struction embedded in a CPU. The High Performance Event Timer is used to replace the 8254 Programmable Interval Timer. The options are Enabled and Disabled.
