Step 3

Lock the DIMM into place by pushing the clips back on either end of the socket onto the notches in the ends of the DIMM (see pictures below for details).

Removing a DIMM

Removing a DIMM is just the reverse: pull back the clips from the DIMM (see pictures below), and care- fully pull the module straight out. Place the DIMMs in an anti-static bag as soon as you remove them to avoid static damage.
