Gaining Access to Memory Modules

DRAM SIMM Replacement Procedure

Caution: Observe all Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) precautions when handling sensitive electronic equipment.

After you have removed the safety cover as described in “Removing the Safety Cover” on page B‐5, proceed to “Removing the Optional Network Expansion Module (NEM)”.

Removing the Optional Network Expansion Module (NEM)

Refer to Figure B‐4 and proceed as follows:

1.Attach the antistatic wrist strap (refer to the instructions on the antistatic wrist strap package).
