About This Guide

This guide provides an overview of installation, troubleshooting, and specifications for the Enterasys® SecureStack A2H254‐16 stackable Ethernet switch.

For information about the Command Line Interface (CLI) set of commands used to configure and manage the switch, refer to the Enterasys Networks® SecureStack A2 Configuration Guide.

Note: In this guide, the following terms are used:

Switch refers to an A2H254-16 unless otherwise noted.

MGBIC (Mini-Gigabit Interface Card) refers to optional small form plugable (SFP) interface modules that plug into the fixed front panel MGBIC slots.

Important Notice

Depending on the firmware version used in the A2H254-16 switch, some features described in this document may not be supported. Refer to the Release Notes shipped with the SecureStack A2 to determine which features are supported.

Who Should Use This Guide

This guide is intended for a network administrator responsible for installing and setting up the stackable switches.
