Connected Users

This section shows which users are connected to the device. The user’s name, IP address, and current status are displayed. The letters “RC” beside a user’s name means that the Remote Console is open. If the Remote Console is opened in exclusive mode, the term (exclusive) will be displayed.

Reset Functions

This section allows you to reset specific parts of the device. Currently this involves the video engine and the PS/2 IP-KVM switch itself. Resetting the card itself is mainly needed to activate a newly updated firmware. It will close all current connections to the administration console and to the Remote Console. The whole process will take about half a minute. Resetting sub devices (e.g. video engine) will only take a few seconds and will not result in closing connections. This section contains summary information about the device and its current firmware.

The Connected Users section shown in Figure 6-19 shows which users are connected to the device. The user’s name, IP address, and current status are displayed. The letters “RC” beside a user’s name means that the Remote Console is open. If the Remote Console is opened in exclusive mode, the term (exclusive) will be displayed.
