Advanced Data Connection Options

Network > Firewall/Filters

The Firewall/Filters settings allow you to customize the following access settings for the SX7 on your network.

￿Firewall (SPI): Select Enable to use the SPI (Stateful Packet Inspection) firewall to monitor network connections and reject any that do not match its criteria.

￿LAN Port Filter Range: Select an option (see below) and a range (from 0 to 65535) of ports through which to allow connections.

Disable: Do not apply a LAN port filter range.

Both: Use both TCP and UDP port numbers for filtering.

TCP: Use only TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) port numbers for filtering.

UDP: Use only UDP (User Datagram Protocol) port numbers for filtering.

￿LAN IP Filter: Select Enable and either Only Allow IP Addresses on the List or Only Deny IP Addresses on the List to allow or deny connections with specific IP addresses. Click Edit IP Filter List to enter the IP addresses to allow or deny (up to 50).

￿LAN MAC Filter: Select Enable and either Only Allow MAC Addresses on the List or Only Deny MAC Addresses on the List to allow or deny connections with specific MAC addresses.Click Edit MAC Filter List to enter the MAC addresses to allow or deny (up to 50).

￿IPSec Pass Through: Select Enable to allow connections to pass through IP Security.

￿PPTP Pass Through: Select Enable to allow connections to pass through Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol.
