GPS Status (GPS Receiver Window)
The GPS Receiver window displays the GPS status:
⬤OFF
⬤Validating
⬤Searching
⬤Acquired
OFF
GPS is not available or is turned off.
To use GPS:
1.Ensure the card is turned on and the GPS Receiver window is displayed.
▶If the GPS Receiver window is not displayed, in Sprint Connection Manager select MENU > Settings > Sprint Location Services, and then select Enable Location Services and Display GPS Receiver. (If Privacy Consent Agreements are displayed, you must read and accept them.)
2.Click the GO button in the GPS Receiver window.
Tip:
You can turn off the display of the Privacy Consent Agreements (from the Sprint Location Services “Settings” window; page 83).
If the GPS Receiver window still displays “OFF,” ensure Network Mode (page 81) is set to Automatic or 1XOnly, and (subject to change) ensure that you are in the network coverage area (not roaming).
Validating
The network is authenticating your wireless or GPS subscription.
Searching
Sprint Connection Manager is searching for satellites.
Acquired
Satellites have been acquired and location coordinates are available for use (and displayed in the GPS Receiver window [page 48]).
NMEA output is being generated. (For information on NMEA, see “What is NMEA?” on page 99.)
