Advanced Data Connection Options

Activation Options

The Activation settings may be preconfigured by your wireless provider.

￿ESN: This is your unit’s Electronic Serial Number. It is generated internally and cannot be changed.

￿Activation Status: This reflects your wireless account activation status. Active indicates that the network recognizes your account and it is ready for use. If Inactive appears, please contact your wireless service provider for assistance.

￿Enter MSL/SPC Code: If required by your provider, enter the appropriate 6-digit Master Subsidy Lock (MSL) or Service Programming Code (SPC).

￿Enter MDN: This is your Mobile Digital Number (your 10-digit phone number). Enter it in the space provided if necessary.

￿MDN Status: Indicates whether your MDN has been successfully initialized. If unsuccessful, please contact your wireless service provider for assistance.

￿Enter MIN/MSID: Your Mobile Identification Number (MIN) or Mobile Subscriber Identifcation (MSID) are numbers associated with your account. If required, enter the provided number.

￿MIN/MSID Status: Indicates whether your MIN or MSID has been successfully initialized. If unsuccessful, please contact your wireless service provider for assistance.

￿SID: This is your unit’s System ID. It should be prepopulated.

￿NID: This is your unit’s Network ID. It is based on the default location for your device.

￿Carrier Provisioning – IOTA: If your wireless service provider offers “over-the-air” programming (IOTA), click this button to automatically retrieve your activation information.
