Opening and Closing the System
WARNING: Whenever you need to lift the system, get others to assist you. To avoid injury, do not attempt to lift the system by yourself.
CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. You should only perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in your product documentation, or as directed by the online or telephone service and support team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came with the product.
Opening the System
1Turn off the system and attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical outlet and peripherals.
2Rotate the latch release lock counter clockwise to the unlocked position. See Figure
3Grasp the cover on both sides while pressing your thumbs on the latch release lock and the indent, carefully slide the cover toward the back of the system, and lift it away from the system. See Figure
