Asynchronous Replication

These commands configure asynchronous replication.

Command

Argument

Description

create asyncreplica

-t/--type <sar/jar/hasar>

Creates a asynchronous replication

-n/--name <snap assisted replication name>

pair. Both the primary and

-f/--volumedialect

secondary volumes should be

-a/--primarycontainer <primary contName>

present before this operation.

-l/--primaryvolume <primary volName>

-i/--primaryip <primary host IP address>

Note:

-s/--secondarycontainer <secondary contName>

1) Volume Dialect

-r/--secondaryvolume <secondary volName>

[0] - ISCSI

-m/--secondaryip <secondary host IP>

[1] – NAS

-k/--hasecondaryip <HA secondary host IP> (Only

for HA-DR)

2) Compression Type

-z/--secsnapcount <secondary snap count>

[0] – No compression

-c/--compression <zlib compression

[1 - 9] – levels

level>(optional)

-e/--encryption (optional)

3) secsnapcount can take values

-b/--dedup (optional)

between 1 to 1022

-w/--wds <bandwidth in mbps> (optional)

-u/--utilization <bandwidth utilization in

4) WDS mode is used only in Snap

percentage>(optional only if wds enabled)

Assisted Replication and HA-DR

Example: Single volume in CG

5) This command can be issued

create -t sar -n name -f 1 -a c0 -l v0 -i

only in the storage system that will

172.16.70.70 -s c1 -r v1 -m 172.16.70.153 -c 6 -z

be the Primary.

10 -e asyncreplica

6) HA-DR (hasar) option can be

Example: Multiple volumes in CG

used only after HA is established

create –t sar –n name -f 0 –a c0 -l v0 -l v1 -l v2

across all volumes of the DAR

-i 172.16.70.70 –s c1 -r v0 –r v1 -r v2 -m

(DR) group.

172.16.70.153 -153 -c 6 -z 10 -e asyncreplica

7) The HA secondary host IP is the

WAN IP of the HA pair which can

be reached from the SAR (DR)

secondary system.

delete asyncreplica

-n/--name <asynchronous replication name>

Deletes the asynchronous

-c/--containername <container name>

replication pair

-d/--index <system assigned name>

-f/--force(optional)

-f/--force flag is optional and is

used where asynchronous

Example:

replication has to be deleted

delete -n name -c c0

-d 1 asyncreplica

forcefully

delete -n name -c c0

–d 1 -f asyncreplica

This command can be issued only

in the storage system that will be

the Primary.

get asyncreplica

-n/--name <asynchronous replication name>

Displays the asynchronous

-c/--containername <container name>

replication details.

-d/--index <system assigned name> (optional)

-s/--compressionstats (optional)

This command can be issued on

both Primary and Secondary

Example:

storage systems.

get -n name -c c0 -d 1 asyncreplica

list asyncreplica

-c/--containername <container name>

Lists available asynchronous

replication pairs in the given
