Local and Replicated Snapshot validation

These commands are used as part of snap validation.

enable

-t/--type local

This will enable local NAS snap

snapvalidation

-c/--containername <containername>

validation for the given NAS

-v/--volumename<volumename>

volume. Once enabled, it will be

-x/--xml

in “resumed” state by default –

meaning ALL scheduled snaps will

Example:

be validated, both already present

enable -t local -c Cont0 -v Volume0 snapvalidation

and those that will be created new.

disable

-t/--type local

This will disable local NAS snap

snapvalidation

-c/--containername <containername>

validation for already enabled NAS

-v/--volumename<volumename>

volume.

-x/--xml

Example:

disable –t local -c Cont0 -v Volume0

snapvalidation

pause

-t/--type local

This pause validation of NAS

snapvalidation

-c/--containername <containername>

snapshots for already enabled NAS

-v/--volumename<volumename>

volume.

-x/--xml

Example:

pause -t local -c Cont0 -v Volume0snapvalidation

resume

-t/--type local

This will resume validation of

snapvalidation

-c/--containername <containername>

NAS snapshots for already paused

-v/--volumename<volumename>

(enabled) NAS volume.

-x/--xml

Example:

resume –t local -c Cont0 -v Volume0snapvalidation

get

-t/--type local

This will return the status – paused

snapvalidation

-c/--containername <containername>

/ resumed of the given NAS

-v/--volumename<volumename>

Volume for snap validation. It will

-x/--xml

also return the list of snapshots that

are validated so far with the status

Example:

(passed / failed)

get -t local -c Cont0 -v Volume0snapvalidation

list

-t/--type local

This will return the list of NAS

snapvalidation

-x/--xml

volumes that are enabled for NAS

snap validation, along with the

Example:

current status – paused / resumed.

list -t local snapvalidation

resume

-t/--type (SRP/HA)

This will resume replica validation

snapvalidation

-c/--containername <containername>

for the given volume or volumes

-v/--volumename<volumename>

SRP/HA. The remote system

-x/--xml

information will be taken from the

given replica pair itself, so no need

Example:

to add them separately.

resume -t SRP -c Cont0 -v Volume0 snapvalidation

resume -t HA -c Cont0 -v Volume0 snapvalidation

SRP – Sync replica module

HA – High availablility module

pause

-t/--type (SRP/HA)

Pauses the already running

snapvalidation

-c/--containername <containername>
