4.5MCP Commands

4.5.1EXIT

The exit command is used to close a monitor session. The “QUIT” command also performs the same action.

4.5.2HELP

The “HELPcommand provides a brief online description of each command that is available. Commands that require parameters are listed with the “<parameters>” as options. Commands with optional parameters are listed with the “[parameters]” as options.

4.5.3CONFIGSYS

The system configuration utility allows you to configure various system dependant options. Currently, the only option available is the amount of time the management controller waits after power loss before it initiates an automatic shutdown.

1.Set time to wait after losing power before system shutdown Q. Exit

Select:

By selecting option “1” you may set the power down delay to be between 1 and 15 minutes. The default value is 5 minutes.

4.5.4FIRMWARE

The “FIRMWARE” command shows the firmware revision levels for various components in the RamSan-210. This command is mainly for internal use for tracking firmware revision levels.

4.5.5IPCONFIG

The Ethernet monitor port is configured using the “IPCONFIG” command. The RamSan-210 supports IP assignment through DHCP, BOOTP, RARP, or setting a static IP. This command may only be used from the serial port since it involves changing the network settings. Here is a demonstration of the command:
