Entering the Multi-part Mode

When the printer is in the Multi -part Mode, the print head prints with greater impact. It should be noted, however, that printing in the Multi-part Mode also reduces the life of the print head. Because of this, you should use the Multi-part Mode only for printing on four or five-ply paper. Return to the normal mode for printing on one to three-ply paper.

Use the following procedure to enter the Multi-part Mode

oMake sure the printer is off-line (ON LINE indicator is not lit). o Press MULTI-PARTto change the printing force selection.

The following shows the meanings of the indicators that light on the control panel when you pressMULTI-PART.

o When you will select Auto, the printing force is controlled by the adjust-lever position. o When you will select Normal, the printing force is always normal mode and it’s used

the single-sheet or the multi-part form which is less then 1 original and 2 copies.

oWhen you will selectMulti, the printing force is always multi-part mode and it’s used the multi-play form which is 1 original and 3 or 4 copies.
