14.Test your local area network to ensure it can communicate with Access Point by doing the following:
Click All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt in the Start menu in Windows XP.
At the Command Prompt, type Telnet n.n.n.n (where n.n.n.n is the IP Address assigned to Access Point in Step 12).
The following message is displayed if communications are successful (that is, your local area network can “see” and “talk” to Access Point).

15.If the message in Figure 59 does display (that is, communications are successful), close the Telnet session. If it does not display, follow the directions in Step 8 (above).
