Wireless Port |
| These parameters apply to the Wireless port of the router. |
|
Name (SSID) |
| This field displays the wireless network name (SSID) being used by the |
|
|
| wireless port of the router. The default is NETGEAR. |
|
Region |
| This field displays the geographic region where the router being used. It |
|
|
| may be illegal to use the wireless features of the router in some parts of |
|
|
| the world. |
|
Channel |
| Identifies the channel of the wireless port being used. See “Wireless |
|
|
| Communications” in Appendix B for the frequencies used on each |
|
|
| channel. In “Up to 240 Mbps” mode, there are two channels: a primary |
|
|
| channel (P) and a secondary channel (S). |
|
|
|
|
|
Mode |
| Indicates the router communication mode: 802.11g and 802.11b, |
|
|
| 802.11g only, Up To 126 Mbps, or Up To 240 Mbps. |
|
|
|
|
|
Wireless AP |
| Indicates if the Router Radio feature of the Router is enabled. If not |
|
|
| enabled, the Wireless LED on the front panel will be off. |
|
|
|
| |
Broadcast Name | Indicates if the router is broadcasting its SSID |

|
|
