802.11b Wireless LAN Security Parameters

CONFIGURATION

DESCRIPTION

 

 

Authentication Type

Specifies the Authentication type used: Open

 

System or Shared Key. If "Shared Key" is

 

selected, you need to enable the WEP and

 

enter at least one shared key.

 

Default: Open System

 

 

WEP

Enable or Disable the Wired Equivalent Privacy.

 

Default: Disable

 

 

Default Key

Specifies the preferred key entry from 1 to 4.

 

Default: 1

 

 

Key (1 -4)

Specifies the shared key value in hexadecimal

 

format based on the WEP Encryption option

 

selected: 64 bits, or 128 bits.

 

Default Key Size: 64 bits
