User’s Guide for the WAB102 802.11a+b Dual Band Wireless Access Point

Configure WEP Encryption

Follow the steps below to perform this procedure.

1.From the Windows desktop, follow the instructions given in “Basic Configuration“ on page 14 to go to the Security window.

2.Authentication Type may be set as “Open System” or “Shared Key” without affecting encryption. Use “Shared Key” for added security.

3.Set the keys for both the 802.11a and 802.11b bands as you have decided after reading “Before You Change the SSID and WEP Settings“ on page 35. Other wireless devices in your network must have compatible encryption configurations.

4.Click Apply for these changes to take effect.
