Switch Information

The Switch Information screen displays hardware and firmware version num- bers for the main board, as well as the power status.

Hardware Version - Hardware version of the main board.

Firmware Version - System firmware version in ROM.

Serial Number - Serial number of the main board.

Number of Ports - Number of ports available on this Switch.

Power Status - Shows if power is active or inactive.

Fan Power Status - Shows if power to fan is active or inactive.

G1 Information - Speed of the first Gigabit port.

G2 Information - Speed of the second Gigabit port.

Select OK to return to the previous panel.

Management Setup Menu

The Management Setup Menu screen allows you to adjust the communication parameters, ensuring a reliable connection. The new administrator password is set through this menu. The IP parameters for Web, telnet, or SNMP/RMON management are set here as well.

Network Configuration - Includes IP setup, ping facility, and HTTP setup for the on-board Web agent.

Serial Port Configuration - Sets communication parameters for the serial port, including baud rate, console time-out, and screen data refresh inter- val.

SNMP Configuration - Activates authentication failure traps and config- ures communities and trap managers.

User Configuration - Sets the user names and passwords for system access.

TFTP Download - Downloads new version of firmware to update your system.

Configuration File - Allows downloading of a configuration file.

Select OK to return to the previous panel.
