Chapter 3. Operation
The opening menu is the access point to all other operations. There are four main menu items, 1)STATUS, 2)CONFIGURE, 3)UTILITY, 4)TEST. Each main menu item has several functions and submenus to identify and access specific parameters. In the discussions that follow, each main menu contains a complete menu diagram to identify the location of each operation.
The Four Opening Menu Functions
STATUS
The Status menu provides the ability to view the status of the TSU operation. This menu includes the following
NI PERF RPTS
Used to view the user’s set of data on the Network Interface Performance Reports in compliance with ANSI T1.403 and AT&T Document TR54016.
CURR ERR/ALM
Used to view current errors/alarms which are being reported by the TSU.
ERR/ALM HIST
Used to view and clear history errors and alarms.
CONFIG
The Configuration menu is used to set the TSU's operational configuration. This menu includes the following
NETWORK (NI)
Used to set all of the parameters associated with the network interface.
UNIT
Used to control TSU’s control port baud rate and to setup the dial out function.
PORT
Used to configure the parameters associated with the V.35 port.
