Chapter 3. Operation
1) NETWORK (NI) SUBMENU OF 2) CONFIG
This menu is used to access the configuration of parameters associated with the network interface in the TSU. There are seven submenu items that include setting the format, the Line Build Out (LBO), the clock source, etc.
Follow the standard operating procedure to access the
Network (NI) menu item.
1.With the cursor on 1)NETWORK (NI), press ENTER.
The results display the first of two submenu items. The down scroll indicates there are additional menu item selections available.

2.Continue with standard operating procedures to edit the Network Interface parameters.
The fields and parameters available are as follows.
FORMAT
Sets the frame format for the NI.
Choices: D4, ESF
D4 is equivalent to Superframe Format (SF)
CODE
Sets the line code for the NI.
Choices: AMI, B8ZS
YEL ALRM
Enables and disables the transmitting of yellow alarms.
Choices: ENA, DISA
