One or More Adapters in a Server

If you are running NetWare and have installed one or more adapters in a PCI computer that is functioning as a server, follow the instructions in the readme file on the EtherDisk diskette to load the NetWare 4.x server driver.

The 3C59X EtherDisk diskette contains the NetWare 4.x server driver (3C59X.LAN) and the NetWare Loadable Modules (NLMs) that enable the NetWare 4.x server driver to be used with NetWare 3.11, 3.12, 4.0x, or 4.1 software.

Loading NDIS Drivers

To load the NDIS driver in a computer running one of the following network operating systems, complete these steps.

DEC PATHWORKS

Banyan VINES client

IBM LAN Server

Microsoft LAN Manager

Artisoft LANtastic

1Follow steps 1 through 5 in the section “AutoLink Installation” earlier in this chapter.

2When the main menu screen shown in Figure 3-2 appears, select Network Drivers and press [Enter].

3When the Network Drivers screen appears, select NDIS Driver Installation and Information and press [Enter].
