Using an Extension Telephone

You can receive a fax from someone if you‘ve answered on the extension telephone without having to go to the fax machine.

This feature only works when you connected to the fax machine.

When you receive a call on the extension pbone and hear a fax tone, press the keys *9* on the extension telephone.

The machine receives the fax.

Q Press the buttons slowly in sequence. If you still hear the fax tone from the remote machine, try pressing "* 9 * " once again.

"* 9 * " is the Remote Receive Start Code preset at the factory.

The first and the last asterisks are fixed, but you can change the middle digit to whatever you want. For more information, see page 4. 12.

Hang up the extension telephone.

Canceling Reception

Press STOP at any time to cancel reception.

The fax reception is canceled and the machine returns to Standby mode.
