OUTPUT TERMINALS

REMOTE Jack

You can use a VA-RMN01 Remote Control Unit (sold separately) to control remotely the VCR.

NOTE:

œThe functions not available on the VCR will not operate.

Remote control of the VCR is possible by connecting a remote controller with a circuit such as indicated below, to the REMOTE jack.

NOTES:

œUse a 3.5 mm mini-jack type plug.

œThe connection should be done using a shielded cable no more than 5 meters long.

œThe functions not available on the VCR will not operate.

Remote control setting

The remote control switch 7 can be set to either eject the tape or access the menus.

1Press the MENU button to display the (MAIN MENU 1) menu.

2Press the SHIFT ] button to select the “4. VARIOUS SET 1” line, then press the MENU button.

øThe (VARIOUS SET 1) menu appears.

4 Press the DATA l (or j) button to select the desired

switch mode.

EJECT . . . . . Switch 7 will eject the tape.

MENU . . . . . Switch 7 will display the menu.

5Press the MENU EXIT button to save the setting.

NON REC OUT terminal

If during recording the VCR enters a mode other than recording (i.e. recording pause, stop mode, etc.), a LOW signal (0 V) is output. If recording is resumed, then a HIGH signal (5 V) is output.

If in the (BUZZER SET) menu, NON REC is set to “Y”, a buzzer will be heard while the VCR is in non recording mode. The buzzer will stop if the STOP button is pressed (the output signal will remain LOW (0 V)).
