Traffic Announcement (TA)

Some RDS FM stations periodically provide traffic information.

[VOLUME] indicator

[TA/AF] (TA mode/TP (TA) Search)

TA ON/OFF (Default: OFF)

Press [TA/AF] (TA mode) to switch the TA mode on and off.

The following functions are available when the TA mode is active.

¡A TP station is automatically searched for and received at the instant of toggling the TA mode on if you are receiving a non-TP station or a TP station with poor reception.

¡When executing seek tuning or APM, only TP stations are selected. (a Page 15 for Auto Preset Memory)

¡Setting to TA on with the unit in another mode, it will automatically switch to radio mode and a traffic announcement is broadcast on the radio when the traf- fic announcement begins. The traffic announcement having finished, the unit will return to the previous mode. (TA standby mode)

Traffic information only (TA mute)

While listening to an FM station which is not currently broadcasting traffic announcement, turn the [VOLUME] to the counterclockwise to set the volume to 0. The traffic announcement will be output at the TA volume level.
