Repeat Playback

START REPEAT

1 Press and hold PLAY for more than 5 seconds (until "" blinks on the front display panel) during playback, then release.

		The entire recording or entire tape is played back as
		many times as you want. To select the returning
		position (recording end or tape end), see "Returning
		Position" on page 28.
2	STOP REPEAT
	To stop, press STOP at any time.
	NOTE:

Pressing PLAY, REW, FF, PAUSE or SHUTTLE PLUS

“or £ also stops Repeat Playback.

To prohibit operations during Repeat Playback (Mode Lock)

Press and hold OK on the remote control for more than 5 seconds. The Mode Lock indicator lights up on the front display panel ( pg. 66). The entire recording or entire tape will be played back repeatedly without any interruption.

To cancel Mode Lock, press the same button again for more than 5 seconds.

Counter Reset

1		RESET COUNTER TO ZERO
		Press C.RESET.
		NOTE:
		By pressing the DISPLAY button, you can change the
		display to show the counter reading, channel number,
		clock time or tape remaining time. (Channel number is
		not displayed during playback.)

Tape Position Indicator

	The Tape position indicator
	appears on screen when, from the
	stop mode, you press FF, REW, or
	use the SHUTTLE ring, or perform
	an Index Search or Instant ReView.
	The position of " " in relation to	B	+	+	+	E
	"B" (Beginning) or "E" (End) shows	B	+	+	+	E
	"B" (Beginning) or "E" (End) shows			COUNT		0:33:27
	you where you are on the tape.			COUNT		0:33:27

NOTES:

"SUPERIMPOSE" must be set to "ON", or the indicator will not appear ( pg. 30).

It may take a few seconds for the Tape Position Indicator to be displayed.

Next-Function Memory

The Next Function Memory “tells” the VCR what to do after rewinding. Before continuing, ensure that the VCR is in stop mode.

a– For Automatic Start Of Playback After Tape Rewind . . .

. . . press REW, then press PLAY within 2 seconds. b– For Automatic Power Off After Tape Rewind . . .

. . . press REW, then press POWER within 2 seconds. c– For Automatic Timer Standby After Tape Rewind . . .

. . . press REW, then press TIMER within 2 seconds.

NOTE:

It is not possible to select the Automatic Timer functions if the cassette's record safety tab is removed and the Record Safety mode is set to "ON" ( pg. 39).
