SUR-47 User’s Manual

Using the Transmission Feature

The SUR-47 can transmit data to another SUR-47 or to a PC with the optional USB-UART cable. You can download firmware upgrades from the Internet or transfer configuration data.

Enter the setup menus, scroll to TRANS and press to enter the transmission menu.

Before you use this feature to transfer data with your PC, you must connect the optional USB-UART cable. Refer to Appendix B for more information.

1.Press or to select TRANS.

2.Press .

3.Press or to select one of the following options:

PRE-CODE – transmits Preprogrammed Codes only

MEMORY –transmits All Flash Memory Data (Preprogrammed Code included)

4.Press to begin transmission.

During the transmission, the LCD displays blank keys as shown in the illustration.

When the transmission is completed, OK is displayed on the LCD. If there is an error in transmitting the data, ERROR is displayed.

Miscellaneous Menus

Enter the setup menus, scroll to Other and press to enter this menu. Press and to scroll through the menu options:

Clock enables you to set the date and time

Power enables you set the time that will elapse before the SUR-47 turns off

Backlight lets you set the time that the backlight remains on

Beep turns the key and button beep signal on and off

Version displays the SUR-47 firmware version
