Receiver operation

In this chapter, you learn how to select both TV and radio programmes using your receiver, how to adjust the volume, programme the timer and set up the other func- tions.

Twin-receiver fundamentals

With its two tuners, the twin receiver allows you to operate the TV set and video re- corder simultaneously with different programmes.

The twin receiver is equipped with two 4-character LED displays that allow you to operate the unit with its many options without any difficulty. While the right-hand LED display shows you the programme slot selected for the TV set (tuner A), the left-hand display is assigned to the VCR Scart socket (tuner B) for the video re- corder. However, a prerequisite is that both Sat inputs are connected up to the sat- ellite receiving system.

Switching the unit on

Switch the unit on via the mains switch on the unit. The last programme slot selected appears (TV or radio) or else it switches into standby if the unit had been switched into standby prior to the last switch-off.

In standby mode a horizontal line appears in the LED display “ “.

The key on the remote control switches the unit between normal operation and standby.

You can also turn the unit on using the numeric keys ... and the channel

keys .

Note

On switching on via the mains switch, the resulting operating state is always the

same as it was prior to switch-off.

Tuner selection

A switchover between tuner A (right-hand display “TV“) and tuner B (left-hand dis- play “VCR“) can be made with the key.

The tuner currently being controlled by the remote control is shown on the OSD

(On Screen Display) by a white field after the programme slot indication. In the LED display a dot appears after the P or r.
