Selecting digital output

Select the digital output to be output from the optical/coaxial digital audio output connector of the player.

1 At the initial settings screen (on page 30)

Press the cursor buttons (A, B) to select “7 Digital Audio Output” and press

SELECT.

1LPCM 96k>48k:

To select whether digital audio converted to 48 kHz/ 16 bit is output from the optical/coaxial digital audio output connector or no digital audio is output during playback of the DVD recorded in Linear PCM of 96 kHz.

(In case of the DVD recorded in Linear PCM of 48 kHz, digital audio converted to 48 kHz/16 bit is output irre- spective of the setting.)

2Dolby Digital:

To select the signal format (Bitstream or PCM) to be output from the optical/coaxial digital audio output con- nector during playback of the DVD recorded in Dolby Digital.

3dts:

To select whether dts bitstream is output from the opti- cal/coaxial digital audio output connector or no digital audio is output during playback of the DVD recorded in dts.
