Folder Management

From the Storage menu, choose Folder, and the Folder screen appears. This screen allows you to create and configure folders on the N7700 volume.

Folder

Item

Description

Folder name

Displays the name of the folder.

Description

Provides a description of the folder.

NFS Share

Press NFS Share to configure which hosts on the network are

 

allowed to access this folder using NFS.

 

With “ZFS” file system selected RAID volume, it is un-

 

configurable.

ACL

Press ACL (Access Control List) to configure which users have

 

access to this folder.

Edit

Press Edit to enter the Edit screen and modify the folder’s

 

name and description.

Snapshot

Press Snap to open snapshot configuration screen, the button

 

will be only configurable with “ZFS” file system selected RAID

 

volume.

Del

Press Del to delete the folder. A prompt appears asking to

 

confirm the deletion.

Add

Press Add to enter the Add Folder screen.

NOTE

Adding Folders

Nsync folders will be created once the RAID is created. Nsync folder is used by Nsync server. It will be used for files backed up by Nsync.

On the Folder screen, press the Add button and the Add Folder screen appears. This screen allows you to add a folder. After entering the information, press Apply to create new folder. Press Back to return to the Folder screen.
